DAY 1:- Delhi – Manali (6726 ft)
Distance: 610 Kms/ 13hrs
Leave Delhi at the crack of Dawn so that you can beat the traffic and cover the Kms with ease. We will stop at Murthal for a hearty breakfast we drive on towards Manali stop [ Bilaspur for Lunch where we get a good view of the Satluj River before it flows into the Gobind Sagar Reservoir. A. Reach Manali and check into resort. Evening free to enjoy the sights of Manali. Overnight at Hotel in Manali.
DAY 2:- Manali
After a leisurely breakfast you will be briefed about the road conditions, driving tips, safety and the convoy rules. After which you are free to wander the street of Manali tasting the different cuisines on offer. We recommend an early night as the next morning will be an early start. Overnight in Manali.
DAY 3:- Manali – Jispa (10500 ft)
Distance: 147 Kms
Leave Manali early morning and drive towards Jispa,a small village in the Lahaul region. Today is the first day of high altitude driving where we across Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) and get a glimpse of the Great Himalayas to the north, the Pir Panjal to the South and the Spiti-Chandra watershed to the east. It is imperative to leave early so that we can avoid the tourist rush at Rohtang Pass. Overnight at Jispa.
DAY 4:- Jispa
Today we take a break in Jispa to acclimatise for the high altitude drive to follow.
DAY 5:- Jispa – Leh (11480 ft)
Distance: 323 Kms/9-10 HOURS
Next morning we drive along the Bhaga River up towards its origin, and then to the Baralacha-La Pass (16049 ft). The gradual increase in altitude help the body in acclimatising. Pang Valley and Tanglangla Pass (17585 ft) summons you closer towards Leh. We stop at Moore Plains for a halt to take in the beautiful landscape surroundings. Overnight at Leh
DAY 6:- LEH
After a demanding drive take it easy in Leh. We will visit the Leh Palace a massive 17th-century palace, modelled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), which overlooks the old town’s bazaar and maze-like lanes, Thiksey Monastery is located in Thiksey village, approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh. The monastery is located at an altitude of 3,600 metres (11,800 ft) in the Indus Valley, Hall of Fame located near the Leh airfield is a museum maintained by the Indian Army in memory of the brave soldiers who fought and lost their lives defending the country. In the evening we will visit the Shanti Stupa which overlooks the city of Leh, providing panoramic views of the city and the mountains beyond. Overnight in Leh
DAY 7:- Leh – Nubra (10000 ft) Via KHARDUNG La PASS (17582 ft)
Distance: 165 Kms/
In the morning we leave for Nubra Valley a high altitude cold desert where we get to see the double humped back camels. Near KhardungLa Pass your motoring skills get tested as the road conditions are poor. At the top take picturesalongside the board which states Khardung La to be the highest motorable road in the world. Hot tea and maggie noodles are a must have on the top before heading down towards Nubra. On every turn get mesmerised by the beautiful landscape sceneries that will fill you camera memory card in minutes. Overnight at Nubra.
DAY 8:- Nubra
Today we visit Turtuk Village, which lies on the banks of theShyok River and is one of the gateways to Siachen Glacier. In the evening we will head into the Desert and try our hand at off-roading, camel safaris and have a BBQ on the dunes. Overnight Nubra.
DAY 9:- Nubra – Pangong Tso (14270 ft) via WARI LA PASS 17400 FEET
Distance: 160 Kms
Today we set out early so that we get to Pangong Tso in time to enjoy the beautiful colours of the evening sun on the lake and the hills surrounding it.
DAY 10:- Pangong Tso – Leh VIA CHANGLA PASS (17590 ft)
Distance: 150 Kms
After taking plenty of pictures of Pangong Tso Lake in the morning head back towards Leh via Changla Pass, which is the 3rd highest motor-able road in the world. Your driving skills will be tested near the top as the road has rocks and slush because of the melting snow. Reach Leh and check into Hotel. Evening is free to shop and enjoy the night life before we head back towards Manali.
DAY 11:- Leh – Tsomoriri Lake (14836 ft)
Distance: 230 Kms
Today we start our return journey back to Manali via Tsomoriri Lake. Tsomoriri is the largest high altitude lake entirely within India surrounded by hills raising 20,000 ft. A couple of hours drive from the Lake we can watch the Black Necked Cranes (Jammu & Kashmir state Bird) in their Summer breeding habitat, Wild Asses, Wild Sheep and much more. Overnight at Tsomoriri / Yak Camp
DAY 12:- Tsomoriri Lake – Jispa (10500 ft)
Distance: 240 Kms
After an early breakfast we drive towards Jispa. Overnight at Jispa.
DAY 13:- Jispa – Manali (6726 ft)
Distance: 147 Kms
Today is the last day of the tour. On reaching Manali we will have a Grand drinks and dinner celebration where we all can look back and share our experiences. Overnight at Manali.
DAY 14: Manali – Chandigarh / Delhi end of services.
